Well i think that students should get involve in everythig that will afect them. The class sizes will incrrease and that will affect there education. That will mean that they will have less of an opportunity then they already have. I think all of us should go out and protest what the school district has choosen to do. We should tell them that there decisions affect us and not them. They only way we can do this is by getting out there and makeing them feel an affect. If we arent in school that will mean lost in found and that will make an affect ijn them.

I think that all student's should go to the march. If we all go they are going to see that we care for our teachers.

well students that are knowledgeable to the issue and are concerned, should join student day of action against class size increase and lay offs. people who aren't aware of the issue will just be unaware and confused on what is happening. only the concered and aware should join the cause, or people that want to help on school issues. the more concerned students join the more it would help with school issues. organizing with the students and teachers to help stop or prevent school issues, like budget cuts, teacher layoffs etc.

I think that teachers should not get fired because it is unfair and we need our teachers. Cutting them would be dumb and it shows that the board members don't care about the students.

Should crenshaw students join studentday of action against class size increase and lay-offs on friday,MAY8?

yes students should jion the sudent day action so everybody can see how much we care for our education and like others don't, like the LAUSD Districted. It affects all thosesudents who are in the LAUSD Districted and our relatives that are in the LAUSD Districted also. we need our teacher, consulars they are the ones who care about our education and future. the LAUSD Board don't care because the have a job already and don't need to go to school no more.We as students need to show that we have more force and we are going to the end with this and we might go even futher if we need to. May 4, 2009 question of the day

Question of the Day:
Should Crenshaw students join student day of action against class size increases and layoffs on Friday, May 8th? If so, what action to take?

I believe that students should take part in the student day of action on friday if possible. Although many Crenshaw seniors will be preparing for the prom that day, it is important that students in other grade levels come out to support teachers and continue to fight against unfair layoffs and budget cuts in LAUSD schools. The type of action that they need to take is to do a walk-out and encourage other people to join out on the streets.

CA budget cuts!

I think that the teacher cuts are unfair to students and the whole educational system. By cutting teachers los angeles classrooms sizes are increasing and with class sizes increase students grades will go down, attendence will drop, and less students will graduate every year. In order to succesfully learn the material taught in classes students need to be able to concentrate, if there is too many students in a class a time students wont be able to do. Although the state of California needs money, firing our well qualified teachers are not the solution.
